An important component of 8th grade is preparing to successfully transition into high school. As part of this transition, your child will participate in the P-ACT assessment during the school day on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Beginning Tuesday, October 6, we will launch our intervention classes designed to provide targeted support for students in math, reading, and social-emotional learning. These interventions will take place during WINN time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dear CCSD93 Community,

CCSD93’s Boundary Committee met this week to review the results of our recent community survey and continue its work toward potential boundary recommendations. 

As a direct result of community feedback and the committee’s continued analysis, a new Proposed Concept has been developed for consideration. No recommendation has been made, and the Boundary Committee has determined that it will meet again in October to continue its work before finalizing a recommendation for consideration by district leadership and ultimately the Board of Education.
 

They are a great opportunity for parents, students and their teachers to meet to discuss successes, areas for improvement and goals for the year! Parents can sign up for these conferences through PTC Wizard starting at noon on September 18.

We had a very successful Jayhawk Jaunt and Walk-a-Thon day on Friday! The weather cooperated, spirits were good, and students had a ton of fun! Thank you for everyone for your donations and for helping us fundraise.

Dear Jay Stream Middle School Community,

I am writing to provide an update regarding the mold growth previously identified at Jay Stream and the steps the district has taken to thoroughly address it.

Since our previous communication, professional mitigation has been completed in the Band and Orchestra rooms and Room 144, followed by additional assessment and air sampling by our environmental hygienist partners, Examinetics. I am pleased to share that Examinetics has cleared all three spaces to return to normal use. Band and Orchestra directors will communicate with participating students and families about returning to their regular rooms and routines, while classes in Room 144 can resume in that space.

Each year, the Jay Stream PTA organizes the Jayhawk Jaunt and Walk-a-Thon fundraiser. Historically, we have been able to raise over $10,000 through this fundraiser, all of which goes back to supporting our students at school. Please see the attached letter which includes the link to our donations page.

If you were sent a link to this message, our records show that we have not yet received a completed Health Examination Form and immunizations for your child. You have also been sent a personalized email that identifies the child whose form has not been submitted.

CCSD93 will host age-appropriate programs for 4th-8th grade students in September and October designed to equip them with positive, practical mental health resources. The programs will be presented by NAMI DuPage, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness

The purpose of this message is to keep you informed regarding a situation that occurred at Jay Stream Middle School today.

On Friday, students attended a pep assembly to start the year. We kicked off our Color Wars competition where grade level teams can earn points in friendly competition games. Throughout the year, grade level teams will also have opportunities to earn points for Color Wars for positive behaviors, academic achievements, and more. Our first monthly challenge for Color Wars is TEAM SPIRIT! 

As part of CCSD93’s ongoing boundary review process, we invite parents/guardians, staff and community members to attend one of two identical Community Input Nights to learn more about the work underway and provide feedback on two boundary concepts currently being considered.

It was so great to welcome back returning students and welcome in students new to Jay Stream this past week! We spent the first day of school making connections in Advisory, learning about our building expectations, and practicing some of our safety drills. The students displayed outstanding behavior. On Thursday, all students went through their schedule for the first time. The building was filled with a lot of excitement and energy for the new year.

Dear School District 93 Families,

We’ve been made aware that some families may be encountering issues adding funds to their MySchoolBucks accounts through the MySchoolBucks app to pay for CCSD93 meal service.

If you encounter this issue, here are a few ways to resolve it:

• Use the MySchoolBucks website: MySchoolBucks has confirmed that parent deposits are active and working on their website.
• Refresh the app: Sign out of the MySchoolBucks app completely and sign back in. The app may still contain saved account information from the previous system.
• Reinstall the app if needed: If signing out and back in does not resolve the issue, uninstall and reinstall the MySchoolBucks app, then sign back in.

Fees for the 2026-27 school year have been applied to your TeacherEase account. This may include fees from previous years and/or additional registration purchases. Please follow the directions below to complete payment by August 11.

Online registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open! If you haven’t already, please log in to your TeacherEase account and register your student(s) as soon as possible so that we can best prepare your child’s educational experience for next year. Please register no later than April 30, 2026.

If your child will be the age of 5 by September 1, 2026 and you live within Community Consolidated School District 93 (CCSD93)’s boundaries, you are invited to attend virtual Kindergarten Registration online Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. at www.ccsd93.com/kindergarten.

CCSD93’s award-winning Early Childhood Center (ECC) offers a play-based, nurturing environment where 3- and 4-year-olds learn through exploration, develop independence, strengthen problem-solving skills, build confidence and practice positive group interactions.

To improve how we communicate with you, we’ve updated the phone number we use to send text messages. From now on, our standard text messages will be sent using the local 10-digit phone number: 630-326-6532. 

A big component of this is mental health. We know it can be difficult to know where to start when looking for mental health resources. This is why CCSD93 is thrilled to partner with an organization called Referral GPS that makes it easier for families, staff and community members to find the right help for them.
